How to get self confidence? A question many of us ask. It is not always easy to notice our positives with the constant pressures in our work and personal lives. Therefore, many of us can struggle to see our qualities hidden by the pressure we put on ourselves. So, it can be challenging to improve self esteem and confidence. However, there are many ways to do this. For example:

· Noticing our positive qualities

· Building happy relationships

· Doing exercise and eating healthy

· Start saying no

Be Grateful For Our Achievements

How to get self confidence? We can start by appreciating ourselves. Noticing our achievements is one of many ways to build confidence. By taking notice of our positives can improve self esteem and confidence. Everyone has their strengths, and in turn, we have weaknesses. Noticing our achievements makes us grateful for the things that make us who we are. Also, we accept our weaknesses as we must live with them to improve self esteem and confidence.

By writing down our achievements, we are demonstrating how to get self confidence.

Build Happy Relationships

How to get self confidence? First, minimise unhealthy relationships. It is helpful to remember that the people we spend lots of time with have a big impact on our mental health. If we have unhealthy relationships with some of the people we spend lots of time with, they can damage our self esteem. Therefore, we need to minimise these relationships. In other words, people in our lives should help us improve self esteem and confidence, not break it down. Therefore, building positive relationships boosts our self confidence.

Exercise

Keeping fit is one of the many great ways to build confidence. Feeling unhappy with our appearance can mean we lose a lot of self esteem. Therefore, we question how to get self confidence? So, this can start by doing a little bit of exercise a day. As a result, we will improve our physical health as well as our mental health. Exercise can benefit us in many ways. For example:

· Builds physical fitness

· Meet new people if you join a team sport

· Brings a new focus, away from things that lower our self esteem

· Find something we are good at to build self confidence

Following exercise, it is crucial to eat well as a means of how to get self confidence. By eating well as well as doing exercise, we will improve our mental and physical health. Improving our physical health can benefit our mental health.

Start Saying No

How to get self confidence? There is no better way than saying ‘no’ to things that make you unhappy. From time to time, we find ourselves in difficult situations. However, most of us are people pleasers and do not want to upset others by saying ‘no’. It is one of many great ways to build confidence if we start to say ‘no’ to people. We can do this without sounding rude or ungrateful. For example:

· You get asked to take on many new projects at work, but you are in the process of completing others. To deal with this diplomatically, you could ask for a longer time to fulfil the tasks or ask to take on a couple and save the others for later.

· You are asked to go out with friends for drinks, but you have commitments early the next day. Say ‘sorry, maybe next time.’ It can be difficult saying no to friends as we do not want to be not included in the future.
